1. Agreement
By using YouTube Playlist Analyser ("the site") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. The site is operated as a personal project; details are on the About page.
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
2. What the service is
The site reads publicly available duration metadata for the videos in a YouTube playlist you specify, totals it, and generates day-by-day study schedules from that total. It's provided free of charge, with no account required.
The site does not host, download, store, stream, mirror or redistribute any video or audio content. It reads metadata through the official YouTube Data API.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit automated or bulk requests, scrape the site, or otherwise place unreasonable load on it. The site depends on a limited third-party API quota, and excessive use degrades it for everyone.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or its underlying systems, or to probe or test its security without permission.
- Use the site to access content you are not authorised to access.
- Interfere with the site's operation, or with other users' use of it.
- Re-publish the site's generated output as your own commercial product or service.
- Use the site in breach of any applicable law, or in breach of YouTube's Terms of Service.
Access may be restricted or blocked where use appears abusive, automated, or harmful to the service.
4. Accuracy
Durations are sourced from YouTube's API and are accurate to the second at the time they are read, but totals and schedules are provided for guidance and are not guaranteed to be correct or complete. In particular:
- Deleted and private videos cannot be measured and are excluded from totals.
- Live streams and premieres may report durations that don't reflect usable watch time.
- Results are cached for up to 24 hours, so a playlist changed very recently may be reported as it stood earlier.
- Schedules assume uninterrupted daily study and make no allowance for breaks, note-taking, or re-watching.
Don't rely on the site's output as the sole basis for a decision with real consequences — an exam timetable, a course commitment, or a deadline. Verify anything that matters.
5. Availability
The site is offered on an "as available" basis. It may be unavailable, slow, or functionally limited at any time without notice, including because of maintenance, server problems, or exhaustion of the third-party API quota it depends on. No uptime is promised, and features may change or be removed.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, written guides and source code belong to the operator. You may link to any page freely. Reproducing substantial portions of the written content elsewhere without attribution is not permitted.
All video titles, thumbnails and other YouTube material displayed remain the property of their respective owners. YouTube and the YouTube logo are trademarks of Google LLC. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
7. Third-party services
The site relies on third parties, including the YouTube Data API, and may serve advertising and use analytics. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, over which the operator has no control. How data is handled here is described in the privacy policy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from your use of the site, including lost time, missed deadlines, or decisions made in reliance on its output.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
11. Contact
